We are a family owned and operated business involved in the oyster and lobster industries for the past 30 years. We are located on the shores of Colville Bay near the town of Souris in eastern Prince Edward Island.
From the beginning we felt that the key to our success would be to provide top quality oysters by using only hand cultivation and harvesting methods. Our oysters are harvested, graded, and packed by hand which allows us to ensure that we sell only the very best oysters.
Johnny has also fished lobsters for the past 30 years. In 2014 we decided to go direct to the market place with our lobster. We built a holding facility which allows us to offer live lobster from spring to fall. We sell direct to restaurants, and wholesalers, and direct to customers through our Lobster Shack.
We love the seafood we produce because they are so environmentally friendly and farming and fishings practices have made them very sustainable.
Our business has been built on a combination of persistence, determination and patience. Our business had grown over the years by providing a friendly personal service. Our customers are people not just accounts.
Our families; our children, brothers, nephews, nieces and neighbours are critical to helping us to become the successful business we are today. We are also proud to be a part of a vibrant community of eastern PEI and consider ourselves blessed to be able to contribute to its vitality.

Colville Bay Oyster Company has been awarded the Oyster Grower of the Year, and People’s Choice Award, at the PEI International Shellfish Festival a number of times since the festival started.
We are also very proud to have won the PEI Lobster Festival’s 2017 Island Chef Lobster Roll Challenge and the 2018 People’s Choice Award.
